Ms. Fan has fifteen years of experience in intellectual property law where she has
successfully helped numerous clients find creative solutions to complex IP issues.
Focusing primarily on patent matters, Ms. Fan has represented a spectrum of clients,
ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 corporations. She has counseled clients in
numerous technologies, including medical devices, automotive systems, liquid crystal
displays, semiconductor manufacturing, querying databases, and chemical production.

Ms. Fan has represented clients before U.S. district courts, including multiple jury trials.
In addition to litigation matters, Ms. Fan has counseled clients in patent procurement,
patent portfolio strategy and management, and technology evaluation and licensing.

Before law school, Ms. Fan worked as a chemical engineering co-op for Alza
Corporation, a pharmaceuticals and medical systems company (later acquired by
Johnson & Johnson). Ms. Fan also conducted research at the University of California,
